State of the Art Therapy
DEVELOP THE SKILLS TO BECOME AN INCREDIBLE SOMATIC THERAPIST

You help more clients faster, don't get burned out, feel lit up after a days work, and have endless word-of-mouth referrals.
Imagine the smile on your face, when, at the grocery store checkout, you overhear people behind you mentioning your name!
You are so incredible in your profession that people are doing your 'word of mouth' marketing!
Imagine the satisfaction you feel inside, when your client reports that what happened last week in your session made a world of difference, and they actually had the difficult conversation they had been avoiding!
It makes a world of difference to your life when your clients thrive!
Imagine coming home from a really fun and enriching day in your office, where you treated clients of all ages.
You would never feel bored or have empty hours, because you expanded your scope of practice,
and your wait list is growing!
Imagine that you creatively used your body, mind, heart, and wisdom in each and every session.
You would feel like an artist professional!
I can help you so that
YOUR PROFESSION
Becomes Your Daily ART Form

"
I don't have the right words for it all, because there should be so much more than this. But I am so grateful for you and for your work with me. The impact you had on me, looking back, feels like it should have been impossible for so much to have changed or even to have started in such a rough state and gone anywhere at all. This time with you is undoubtedly among one of the most important experiences of my life. Thanks for helping me really know with certainty I'm not broken.

"All the many years of prior therapies, meditation, BMC, different approaches are coming together in this push practice for me – supported and initiated by our course here – and specifically, I believe by becoming aware somatically of cloudy, foggy , dissociated and many other existential somatic states in combination with BRAIN states as well as having a CONTEXT and VOCABULARY like for example "need shock“ or "spatial shock“ and so on. Thank you for bringing all of this together, for your personal process that made this possible and for making it available." ...RS

45 Years of Private Practice experience: supervision, practice management, client management, avoiding burn-out, co-founding Colorado Therapies, where I offered 8 two-year live trainings (pre-CoVid), founding THE BROOK INSTITUTE, where I see clients from all over the world, and share the geeky somatic tools that heal for clients and professionals.

Need more convincing? You get Personal Growth that benefits your profession.
If you are a helping professional or coach and want your work to be your art, you must know this work from the inside out. My state of the art training course teaches you the essential skills of how to hold space for working with early shock imprints and compensations in the body-mind. My experience is that one cannot treat others until you have done your own inner work and healed much of your own shock imprints. You get that support by taking the live classes.
You will become more embodied simply by taking these classes: Embodiment is the latest wave in coaching and therapy, and for good reason! It's time to awaken your clients so they can access their own healing! The inner work involves physical sensations, emotions, and belief structures; often those that were created as protective identifications to give meaning to overwhelming experiences.
These courses will enhance your ability to stay present under stress as a helping professional, to help clients to choose new behavior options that are more nourishing, and for you to maintain nervous system health when working with clients. You teach clients to find a nervous system balance with healthy rest and healthy activity, and the ability to reach and choose healthy social connections. That is satisfying!
Clincial Skills
You will get clinical guidance via my books, demo sessions within courses, and case studies.
You will learn how to set up your office, use props, and how to work specifically with birth trauma.
This work is not linear. Personal and Professional will interweave. Be prepared to take time to integrate; to research and apply your new skills with your clients, to notice when triggers arise in you as a clinician, how to address them in the moment, and to seek professional support as needed.
Video waiver:
Your purchase of State of the Art Advanced Training Course serves as a waiver for video release of the recording content of videos in the courses.
You can avoid personal visibility by turning off your video share, and still participate in the chat section of the call anonymously if you so choose.
The recorded calls may be made available to others wanting to learn and grow as part of shared resources for ongoing learning.
Testimonials
Healing Birth Trauma Course
"As a Somatic Movement Educator (a student of Body-Mind Centering for over 25 years), and someone who has their MSW, Annie's work helped not only bridge my mental health training with all the somatic work I have done, it opened up new worlds in my own healing process via the realms of Perinatal Psychology (grounded in embodiment). I feel like I am just beginning- I feel greatly resourced from her Healing Birth Trauma course and sessions, I am feeling pretty excited and fearless, and yet wiser and more relational, about doing more of this work in the future!" J
"I found Annie to be very skilled in holding the space of the collective and tending the field. I am in awe of how much I could learn from her, almost to feeling intimidated! Yet I have a new spaces within self- seeds to sprout and nourish- that I believe will allow me to become more and more regulated both in relationship with others and relationship within self. These are big gifts!" anonymous
Relationship Ready Course
"there is not a day that goes by that I am not grateful for Annie and her body of work. The birth patterns that were held in the cells of my body affected all of my relationships ~ I feel blessed to now have a large toolbox of resources and the somatic re-learning of memories my body knew but my mind and heart couldn't remember ~ all of my relationships transformed and I have a language and deep understanding with which to work with them from!" JR
"In Relationship Ready Annie lovingly takes us through early imprints that underlie our adult connections, then provides practices for inner work on the path to deepening intimacy. Annie’s view into adult relationship is from the inside out and this book is a gem for all of us."

Tier 1 Dates and Details
Year 1:
Access to Q and A with Annie Brook
Annie has worked with hundreds of people wanting intimacy and given them practical life changing tools that work. She is a unique educator who understands real life struggles. Learn these tools and how to apply them for yourself!
Participation hours will be 1.5 hour classes 1-2 times a week most weeks. Some weeks may have 0-3. Group supervision is 2 hours a month.
You can flexibly watch recordings for times you miss, but live attendance will allow you to get the most out of the training. The more you put into it, the more you get out of it.
In terms of self-paced hours, that is your own choice.
You want to be familiar with the theories, embodiment practices, and the books that go along with each course.
Each course has recorded zoom calls from previous classes, plus the current class is uploaded in case you need to miss a class.
Some classes have reflective writing, theory, embodiment explorations.
Healing Birth Trauma (HBT) is my signature course, and it has 9-1 hour videos, plus 10-30 minute+ case studies.
These go along with the case study write-ups in Volume 1 of Birth's Hidden Legacy.
Reading assignments for HBT are: Birth's Hidden Legacy Vol 1 & 2, and From Conception to Crawling.
My books are written in a simple, easy-to-understand format and language, so not so tedious academically, and I hope exactly what you are interested in learning :)
The other courses all have short books, plus zoom videos. Some have power points as well.
When you have completed year one you may be offered the option to be a TA. This means you will assist and facilitate breakout groups within the live call classes. This gives you direct experience to witness, support, and perhaps clarify questions within a small group format. You gain insight into the impact and inner workings of shock and trauma within course participants and get the experience of being in the more professional rather than personal learning seat.
Once you have completed year one you can apply to sit as an intern with STAT. This means I would refer you clients. You would negotiate a fee structure (many will be requesting lower cost therapy).
Once you have your fee structure in place, the client would pay directly to the Brook Institute and you would get % of their fee paid directly to you via the Brook Institute. Prequalified psychotherapists may consider this a paid internship position with supervision included. It has a 2 year commitment requirement.
In order to sit as a counselor with the Brook Institute and get referrals, you need either 1.a licensure in your country in order to be a paid intern. Or, alternately, 2. to be registered within your state so you can legally practice giving sessions. 3. To work as a practitioner status coach or helping professional.
In addition, you would fill out a 10-99 form with The Brook Institute for tax purposes as a private contractor.
