What is Contact Improvisation?
The most nourishing fun way to work with touch, weight sharing, movement in space, and to develop an attuned listening ability loaded with improvisation. This form can open up different parts of your brain. You learn about weight and gravity, spirals. Dances happen with one person, or a group or just you and the floor; you always have a partner (gravity and space) when you learn Contact Improvisation.
What is Body-Mind Centering℠?
Developed by Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, this movement anatomy art form includes living anatomy, touch, and movement development. We work with body systems, explore the mind of the muscles, bones, organs, and fluids, and gain the support of proprioception, tactile integration, vestibular movement, and the vocal support of sound and vibration. You learn about tissue tone, and how to shift from internal to external awareness in an easy back and forth play of attention.
